DMEL: How DMEL Works for Agents
If an MLS chooses to adopt delayed marketing for listings, the following changes will appear when adding or editing a listing.
Agents will see new field in the listing input form called “Seller-Directed Marketing.” This field label is customizable for the MLS.
The Seller-Directed Marketing field includes:
A required Yes/No dropdown selection for opting in to DMEL for the listing
If the agent selects "Yes," the field will also display a date duration dropdown for defining the marketing start date (up to the MLS-defined limit).
During the DMEL period:
The listing is excluded from IDX feeds.
The listing remains in VOW and PDAP feeds.
If enabled by the MLS, listing history changes are hidden. Listing history will still be accessible to users who have the appropriate brokerload permission to edit the listing.
DOM calculation follows your preference.
Once the DMEL period ends, the listing automatically enters IDX feeds.
Agents must make a Yes/No selection in the Seller-Directed Marketing field prior to publishing the listing. Once the listing is published, this selection cannot be changed, which is why the field is required to publish the listing.
