Description

Member Type

Select the member type, as determined by your MLS. For information about setting up member types, see Member Types. Selecting a member type may be required, depending on the settings of your MLS.

Brokerload

Set the user's permissions for adding and changing listings. For more information, see Brokerload.

Manage Showings For

This setting applies only if your MLS uses the built-in showing service in Flexmls. Members can manage showings for themselves, their office, or their company.

Automatically approve this user's new listings

Use this setting to override the MLS default for automatic approval, if necessary.

Active

This setting is intended for users that are no longer with the MLS. If set to No, the user will not be able to log in to Flexmls. This can also prevent the user from showing in lists, based on your MLS settings.

System Access

This setting is intended to temporarily disable a user's account (for example, if they have unpaid dues). If set to No, the user will not be able to log in to Flexmls. However, their account will remain active and their clients will not notice an interruption (subscription emails will continue to be sent, for example).

Inactive User Message

This setting allows you to set up custom messaging for disabled Flexmls accounts. You can set up the messaging for specific users or for all members of an office or company. With this message, a Flexmls user attempting to login can be notified why their account has been disabled, and can be informed of the steps they need to take in order to restore account access.

Note

If creating a custom message at the office/company level, there is an additional option to check the box labeled Apply to all Members in this Company or Office.

If an office is closing, this setting allows you to customize one message to display for all members of that office.

Note

MLSs have the option to set a custom default inactive user message. To do this, go to MLS Settings > User Administration.

Note

An account is disabled/inactive if either Active or System Access is set to No.

Visible (in lists)

This setting is intended to hide an active user from member lookup functions such as the Office/Member Search, the list to select a co-listing member or co-selling member, and roster reports.

They cannot access any other functions in the Flexmls system. You can select which other members' listings this user can work with.

If you want to enable the Listing Entry Assistant user type in your MLS, contact the Flexmls Customer Success team (cpr@flexmls.com). For more information, see Listing Entry Assistants.

If broker tours are enabled for your MLS, this option enables the user to administer broker tours.

Broker tours are created for agents and brokers to view properties, and are managed by a tour administrator. If set to Yes, the user can delete listings based on their brokerload. (The Remove option is available on the menu and when they are editing a listing.) This setting is not typically turned on for individual member accounts.

Note

Removing a listing does not completely delete it from Flexmls. Removed listings are assigned a status of Deleted, but they remain in the database.

Non-Member Agent or Exception

This setting is typically used to designate an account to use on listings where the listing agent is not a member of your MLS.

If set to Yes, the user is the designated non-member agent account. You can exclude it from the agent ranking when you run the Market Share option of the Saturation Analysis Report. (For more information about the report, see Saturation Report on the Flexmls Help website.)

Access to Membership Maintenance Module

If set to Yes, the user has access to administrative functions for finding, adding, and changing users. They can also perform password resets and view user reports. When you select Yes, additional options are displayed that allow you to grant or deny access to specific user maintenance settings.
